ABB TotalFlow Driver Setup

Module Setup

Creating/Configuring an Analyzer/GC Device

  • Create it with the following settings:
    • Name
    • Device
      • Board Type: NGC
    • Connectivity
      • Hostname: (Device IP Address)
      • TCP Port: (Typically 9999)
    • Auto Setup
      • Enable Auto-Discovery: Checked
      • Add All Totalflow Application Definitions: Unchecked
      • Add All Array-Register Definitions: Checked
      • Auto-generate Templates and Poll Group: Unchecked
      • Auto-publish Meter Config: Unchecked
  • Click More -> TotalFlow Applications
    • Enable polling on the following apps:
      • 0 - System
      • 30 - GCM Main
      • 38 - Stream 1
      • 39 - Stream 2 (Optional)
      • 40 - Stream 3 (Optional)
      • 41 - Stream 4 (Optional)
      • 46 - Controller
  • Click More -> Array Register Templates
    • Import the attached "ABB_GC_ArrayRegisterTemplates.csv" file
  • Click More -> Poll Groups
    • Add a Poll Group with a generic name: "Default Poll Group"
    • Edit "Poll Group Contents" and add the following rows
      • System
        • Array-Register Template: System
        • Application Name: System
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: System
      • GCM
        • Array-Register Template: GCM Interface
        • Application Name: GCM MAIN - He
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: GCM
      • Controller
        • Array-Register Template: Controller
        • Application Name: Ctrl-1
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: Controller
      • Streams 1-4
        • Array-Register Template: ABB GC Stream
        • Application Name: (Stream [1-4] Application Name)
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: Stream [1-4]
      • Click Edit to edit the device and change the following settings:
        • Auto Setup
          • Enable Auto-Discovery: Unchecked
          • Add All Array-Register Definitions: Unchecked

Creating/Configuring a Flow Meter

  • Create it with the following settings:
    • Name
    • Device
      • Board Type: G4
    • Connectivity
      • Hostname: (Device IP Address)
      • TCP Port: (Typically 9999)
    • Auto Setup
      • Enable Auto-Discovery: Checked
      • Add All Totalflow Application Definitions: Unchecked
      • Add All Array-Register Definitions: Checked
      • Auto-generate Templates and Poll Group: Unchecked
      • Auto-publish Meter Config: Unchecked
  • Click More -> TotalFlow Applications
    • Enable polling on the following apps:
      • 0 - System
      • 7 - I/O Interface
      • 11 - Flow Meter (Tube)
  • Click More -> Array Register Templates
    • Import the attached "ABB_Flow_ArrayRegisterTemplates.csv" file
  • Click More -> Poll Groups
    • Add a Poll Group with a generic name: "Default Poll Group"
    • Edit "Poll Group Contents" and add the following rows
      • System
        • Array-Register Template: System
        • Application Name: System
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: System
      • Power
        • Array-Register Template: Power
        • Application Name: I/O Interface
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: Power
      • Flow Meter
        • Array-Register Template: Flow Meter
        • Application Name: (Flow Meter Name/ID)
        • Enabled: Checked
        • Scan Rate: (desired poll rate in seconds - default: 60)
        • Tag Folder Path: Flow Meter
      • Click Edit to edit the device and change the following settings:
        • Auto Setup
          • Enable Auto-Discovery: Unchecked
          • Add All Array-Register Definitions: Unchecked
